Water supply days in Nairobi, by area
Nairobi Water divides the city into regions and distribution zones, each fed from a reservoir, and many areas get water on set days. Below, each zone’s area, the places it serves and the supply days recorded for it on the Nairobi Maps water zones layer. Supply days change and works interrupt them: Nairobi Water’s own notices are the current word.
Githurai – Clay City
Zone 11 · Kasarani Region · supplied from Kiambu - Kasarani
Places: Clay City and Githurai.
Supply days as recorded: Areas in Githurai 44 have supply on a rotating schedule (e.g., Kamiti road line: Wed-Fri; Thika road line: Tue-Thu & Sat-Mon). Clay City area (Biashara street) has supply Mon 4:00 PM to Wed 4:00 PM.
Karura

Supply days as recorded: Areas like Kawangware, Congo, parts of Riara Rd have supply on specific days. Supply schedules are varied across the zone.
Kiambu Road – Roysambu
Zone 6 · Roysambu Region · supplied from Kiambu
Places: Marurui Njathaini and Ridgeways -Mirema.
Supply days as recorded: Parts of Kiambu Road area have supply Wed-Fri. Ridgeways area has supply Wed-Fri. Mirema area has supply Fri-Mon. Kenyatta University and KIST areas have 24/7 supply.
Kilimani – Kileleshwa
Zone 5 · Dagoretti Region · supplied from Kyuna
Places: Hurlingham and Riverside.
Supply days as recorded: Many areas in Kileleshwa and Kilimani have supply 2-3 days a week. Some parts have 24/7 supply (e.g., DOD, St Georges School environs, Daystar environs, UoN). Specific schedules vary by street.
Kitusuru
Zone 10 and 4 · Westlands Region and Dagoretti Region · supplied from Gigiri - Ring Road Tower and Kyuna PS - Loresho Tower
Places: Spring Valley and Waiyaki Way.
Supply days as recorded: Spring Valley area has supply Thur 2:00PM to Sun 4:00PM. Parts of Lower Waiyaki Way have supply Mon-Fri; Upper Waiyaki Way has supply Fri-Mon.
Nairobi East
Zone 2N · Nairobi East Region · supplied from Kabete
Places: Central, Kasarani, Lower Embakasi, Roysambu and Upper Embakasi.
Supply days as recorded: This zone covers a large area with varied schedules including 24/7 supply in parts of CBD, Industrial Area, and Juja Rd, and intermittent supply in areas like Buruburu, Eastleigh, Makongeni, and parts of Embakasi.
Nairobi West
Zone 7 · Nairobi West Region · supplied from Kabete PS - Hill Tank
Places: Dagoretti, Langata and Westlands.
Supply days as recorded: This is a large zone. Langata area has a complex schedule with many estates receiving water on specific days. Nairobi West area has varied schedules with some 24/7 supply at the shopping center. Parts of Dagoretti are covered under the Langata region schedule.
Parklands
Zone 8 · Westlands Region · supplied from Gigiri
Places: Brookside and Highridge.
Supply days as recorded: Parklands area has supply Mon 11:00 AM to Fri 11:00 AM. Parts of Highridge have supply Tue 6:00PM to Fri 8:00AM. Gigiri area has supply Thur 8:00AM to Sun 8PM. UNEP and US Embassy have 24/7 supply.
Waithaka
Zone 2S and 3N · Dagoretti Region · supplied from Kikuyu tank no 1 & 2 and Kabete PS - Uthiru
Places: Ngando and Uthiru.
Supply days as recorded: Ngando area has supply Tue 7:00 PM to Wed 4:00 PM. Uthiru area has supply Sun 12:00 PM to Thurs 12:00 PM.

Supply is interrupted for repairs and works, and Nairobi Water announces them in its interruption notices. Check those first.
